The National Tamboradas

From the sobriety of the north to the joyfulness of the south, many are stilln the languages spoken by the Drums and BThe languages that began to meet for the first time in Mula in 1983.

Thanks to the idea of a few muleños, The drummer towns and cities of Spain have stopped feeling that we are the navel of the world, each in our own way. side to sound together year after year. year with more strength.

What began as a simple demonstration of what was meant by “drum” in various towns and cities in Spain, with the passage of time became a massive concentration of drum lovers. semanasanteros par excellence: the Drum and the Bombo.

Today, then, the Jornadas Nacionales de Exaltación are a fixed date for everyone, and every year that piece of Spain enthusiastic about the Tambor y Bombo de Semana Santa converges in a true clamour.

The Jornadas have gone beyond the merely formal, including the sound of the drum. A sound that, if at first it was a call, an assembly, a meeting, now serves as an excuse for embrace and friendship.

“The Drum is becoming more and more of an alliance, less and less of a rivalry.dad. More culture, less selfishness” (G. A. Paterna).

The Jornadas have been weaving a network of friends throughout Spain.

From Aragon to Baena, north and south, an extensive network of permanent contacts brings people together every day. Drummer Spain. All year round.

There has been a people-to-people, person-to-person enrichment. An exchange of customs and peculiarities. A reciprocity in mutual knowledge.

Above and beyond the external istion. Next to the Drum and Bombo is the friend. Together with the tunic, the tercerol, the tahalí, the sticks, drumsticks and mallets, there is the union, the heart, the experience.

“Villages that organise Days, where tradition runs deep, are moved and live them passionately: ... and do you know why? Because we were excited. Because we all pitched in and opened up our hearts.our hearts wide open”.” (Antonio Romera Marcos).

It is with this illusion that we face the challenge of a new Conference and that someone continues to write this story that begins with A for Friendship and ends with T for DRUM.

From Tobarra for the world.
