Cultural Week 2022

This year we have launched the Cultural Week, during which we have visited all the schools in Tobarra, including Infant and Primary Education. A very enjoyable and educational programme was prepared, which included a variety of activities:

On the one hand, we have taken drums, which have been dismantled and assembled, explaining in a simple and relaxed way the parts that make them up and how they work. The children have responded with that genuine and sincere curiosity that characterises them, which in the end could translate into a deep-rooted and deep-rooted fondness. On the other hand, we have also incorporated playful activities, such as a “Pasapalabra Tamborilero” in which, emulating the famous TV quiz show format, they had to find out a word related to the drum, its history and its playing, simply by counting on a letter as a clue (which could well be the initial letter or any other). It is often surprising how much knowledge the children show, which is an excellent sign. To top it all off, a representation of the Asociación Amigos del Tambor (Friends of the Drum Association) went to each of the schools to give an exhibition of drumming on the Friday of Sorrows. There is no doubt that the reception was enthusiastic. The future of drumming is in good hands.

Next year, we will repeat the experience, given the satisfactory reception and the potential for dissemination of the initiative.
